Alpha Sig-Nal Newspaper
At the 1939 National Convention, Alpha Sigma Tau was searching for a clever name for the Convention newspaper, which delivered updates, news, and uplifting poems to Convention attendees. Margaret Pollock Small (Alpha 1929/Eastern Michigan) submitted her recommendation for the title “Alpha Sig-Nal,” which was chosen and has been the name for over 80 years.
The Alpha Sig-Nal has changed over the years, going from a daily National Convention newspaper to an ongoing newsletter for chapter officers.
